Vijay Kumar Agarwal founded the Creative Group in 1974, starting with a small establishment that manufactured and exported ready-made garments. His vast experience in all aspects of manufacturing and exporting textile garments has been instrumental in leading the Creative Group to its position today as one of India’s largest manufacturer of garments, outdoor products and home textiles.
Envisioning the potential to grow the business in a post-quota era, Mr Agarwal began to invest in total backward integration and foray into new businesses. Since 1995, Creative Group has been setting up facilities for manufacturing woven fabric, knitted fabric, processing yarn, embroidery, printing and yarn dyeing.
An engineer by training and an alumnus of the prestigious Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) in Mumbai, Mr Agarwal has been actively associated with Executive Committee member of the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) for the last 20 years, and even headed it in 2006-2007.
He was also closely associated with M/s Clothing Export Processing Zone (CEPZ), Mumbai, and as its chairman helped over 25 garment exporters set up their plants in CEPZ. Mr Agarwal has also worked closely with the Commerce and Textile Ministries of Government of India, and used his expertise and knowledge to promote the industry.
A keen philanthropist, he is a member of several social and charitable institutions and also supports various educational institutions across India.
Ajesh Kabra co-founded Creative Yarns in 2008 and is the catalytic force behind the company’s home textiles and polyester yarn divisions.
Mr Kabra did his MBA in international business from the Symbiosis Institute of Business Management. Team-building initiatives, driving operational excellence and cost optimisation strategies are some of his fortes.
He has a knack for solving problems by devising permanent scalable solutions. Mr Kabra’s strategic thinking and execution focus have contributed significantly to the success of Creative Yarns’ product development, strategic marketing and go-to-market strategies.
A firm believer in the ‘Go Big or Go Home’ credo, Mr Kabra usually resets himself with a session of outdoor running or by having coffee chats with his customers and suppliers.
Arunanshu Agarwal joined the Creative Group’s apparel business as a management trainee in 2007. He was instrumental in the Home Textiles division’s vertical integration and capacity expansion. He established Portico, the Group’s popular domestic home textile brand and helped spur its phenomenal growth.
Mr Agarwal has a keen eye for new ventures and co-founded Creative’s carpet yarn business. He is an active member of the CSR, and Finance and Strategy Committees of the Creative Group.
An alumnus of the Jai Hind College, Mr Agarwal is a fitness enthusiast and, loves to play tennis and table tennis.
Vishwanshu Agarwal joined Creative Group’s apparel business in 2010. He established the Group’s Outdoor Products division, adding new products and expansion into new markets. The garments and outdoor division expanded exponentially both in India and overseas under his leadership.
Mr Agarwal also established Creative’s retail division by offering affordable apparel under the Vastrado brand and nightwear under the Mystere Paris brand.
Mr Agarwal is also the President of the board’s Finance and Strategy Committee. He is committed to making Creative Group a multi-sectoral player in the textile industry. He holds a degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University and is a keen sportsperson who loves cricket, tennis and table tennis.
Atul holds his Master's Degree in Management from the New York University, USA after completing his bachelor in Industrial engineering and operations research from the Vellore Institute of Technology University.
He Having worked as a Management Consultant on Wall Street for a Swiss Global Management Consulting firm, he sharpened his skills to make quick detailed analytical judgments, and easily grasp new technical & commercial concepts.
Microsoft Excel is his superpower and his subtle observation coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills make him a high-performing asset.
He is a great team player and has built a level of trust and faith with all his customers as well as suppliers. His inquisitive and diligent nature, strong fundamental knowledge, constant desire to acquire new knowledge, and ever-readiness to face challenges will take Creative Yarns to new heights.
When not traveling for business or on the production floor, you will find him playing tennis or cricket.
